It was in 2002 as we imported King and exported Flag: an exchange of lines between kennels in Europe and the USA. Both Bobbie Hefner and we are very happy with this exchange. We now do have King and Bobbie has Flag. Take a look at the pictures when they both were young and playing together in the Netherlands

Bobbie wrote later on on Flag:
Hi Peter and José,
Flag did very well winning the very small Novice class. I wanted to put him in 12 to 18 month class and in sweeps also, however he turned 18 months on the day of the show so he could not go into those classes. The best part of him being there was that there was a judges study at ring side and after we showed one of the judges who has been involved with this breed since the breed came to this county told me that if she had been judging the conformation class she would have put him up as winners dog and several of the judges agreed with her. The only thing they could fault him on at all was he could use more bone. I will send pictures to you soon that we took there and as soon as I get his win picture I will send that as well.

Further down the line Flag was X-rayed and started his show career:
Bobbie wrote to us:
Hi Peter and José,
Flag passed for OFA: hips good and elbows clear. He has his first litters on the ground now at my farm. 3 boys and 1 girl out of a Jessie granddaughter named Sparkle and a litter of 6 boys and 2 girls out of Garland. They are just almost 3 weeks old and almost 1 week old now. Flag is turning out very nice. A big boy who just took a long time to start growing.
Look at some pictures of him at 18 months:

Bobbie wrote on his off spring:
Hi Peter and José,
Flag is producing some just outstanding puppies. I think that Flag will continue to improve as he matures. He does not have a lot of bone but the puppies he is producing have lots of bone. His son Rocky that I kept looks just like him only with more bone and has the exact personality. Both Drako and Flag have outstanding temperaments.
Flag is already been used as a stud dog. Take a look at some beautiful pictures of his off spring:
