Jan Klaassen from the Barking Bunch

named: KEES
Born: June 23, 2008

His original name was Jan but that sounded too much the same as the name of our daughter Janne so we switched his name to another typical Dutch name: KEES. This is a beautiful and strong short name which really fits him very well. Kees is a powerful and beautiful specimen of the breed as you can see on the picture above. People who know the breed will see on this picture how happy he looks into the world: he has a great temperament and character. He is in that way a copy of his parents who are also happy and free BMD's. But first take a lok at his deep brown, oval shaped eyes and great head:

General information on Kees

Kees is a real Barking Bunch member: not only bred by ourselves but from his mother's side there are many Barking Bunch members in his line. His mother is named BELLE and her official name is "Buulse Belle from the Barking Bunch". As most bernese lovers know, we are always looking for great new bloodlines to add to our bloodlines and in our search for this we came across a wonderful partner for Belle. But let us first introduce you to Belle as the mother of Kees:

The partner for Belle, and so the father of Kees, is Rojan and his official name is "Rojan von der Holderstockhohe". Rojan is a beautiful German Champion male from the old Holderstockhohe kennel of Frits Seeger. This Kennel is known because of his great BMD's. Kees looks body and temperament wise very much as his father. Have a look at Rojan and his owner's father:

Of course, as are all our dogs, also Kees is checked on hips and elbows and he passed without any problems: both excellent, the best result possible.
And in the show ring he is doing great as well: his first three shows in the junior class were all graded excellent and in thi sthree times he was two time second and once third in extremely competitive classes. The judges were very happy with his disposition!

Kees at 20 months of age

Kees is as said before: a great guy! He is sweet but also full of energy. Going for a walk in the woods is what he really likes very much. But the snow is really his thing: playing, rolling over, catching snow and pulling a sledge: he can't stop at all. Please pay special attention to his movement when watching his video: it's georgous even with all that weight on the sledge ....

Kees is a middle sized dog of 110 pounds with a great body, sturdy and with a great head. He is a super mover as you maybe have seen on the video above. ABove that he has a great temperament and is friendly to all animals, other dogs and all his two legged friends. Where could we wish more for.....
