Gobbel is brought to the other side of the rainbow bridge to the green hunting fields he always dreamed of.

General information on Gobbel

Gobbel left us just after celebrating his 8th birthday. His blood went bad and it seemed he had a kind of blood cancer. Within 3 weeks he changed from a lively and loving dog into a dog sick to death. there was no other option and we had to let him go. Thank you Gobbel for all you have given to us!!

Gobbel was a powerful, beautiful, harmonic build dog with an excellent sound movement and the perfect markings. Both his father Senna and his mother Minka   have been shown on international shows where they got first places. He already got good results on international shows. He was always one of the best in his ring. No wonder he is a Dutch Show Champion!

The father and his ancestors are from Belgium and the Netherlands.  Senna, the father of Gobbel, is a beautiful and powerful male! The breed line on mothers side is from Switzerland and again of course the Netherlands. All these are beautiful, typical BMD's from well known kennels. You can find all the names on Gobbel's pedigree below on this page. All ancestors are judged on hips and got the best or second best result possible. Gobbel himself has also very good hips. They were judged by the W.K. Hirschfeld Stichting and the result: HD free (Tc).

We recently started also with elbow X-raying. His result was again excellent: ED 0/0! In this judgment the elbows are judged with 6 photographs (3 on each elbow). The following items are judged separately by the W.K. Hirschfeld Stichting: artrithus, OCD, LPC, LPA and Incongruention. For each item separately he scored free so that is why he got as an end result: ED 0/0 !

On the pictures above you can see yourself that Gobbel is a mid sized, compactly build strong dog. In the Netherlands every dog exposed on a show gets a written report on his exterior from the judge. International and national breed specialists have written the following on Gobbel:

"Dog of a good type, compactly build and with a good shaped head and really beautiful eyes and expression. Good markings, beautiful dark tan; good top line; good angulations in front and hindquarters; shows a sound, light footed and fluently movement".

You can see yourself that Gobbel is a dog to be proud of and we really are as we are on his sister Emma who also lives with us!!!
