He is very friendly and likes children (like our daughter Janne) very much!

General information on BAS

Always to early but with a good feeling that Bas stayed that long with us,  we have said a definitive "good bye" to our beloved 'Brainy Bas from the Barking Bunch'. Just before we would have celebrated his 11th birthday we had to put him down. Bas died due to prostate problems , togheter with his declining general condition it forced us to make the decision to let him go. Bas has given us several, overseas, champions. They will spread his longevity and character we hope!

On the pedigree of Bas (as shown below) you'll see that the father of Bas is: BANDIT BERNY FROM THE BARKING BUNCH . Bandit was in the Netherlands the top one BMD stud dog. He is approved as a stud dog by the Dutch BMD Kennel Club on both Character as Exterior with an excellent. On shows he also got beautiful results!

As all our stud dogs is Bas also Hip dysplasia free. Almost all dogs in his line are checked on their hips and most of them got excellent hip results. Some are checked in the Netherlands, most of them are approved in Switzerland.

Bas is a BMD who likes to work with us. He got his obedience certificates already on a very young age: June 1994!

On shows he did very well. Bas is a boy who's a tremendous good mover. He moves like an antelope Mrs. Mach (a Swiss judge) told. He could have had more weight she also said but anyhow she placed him on the first place on that international dog show!

Puppies of him are well build and have the right markings. Specially when the Dam has (too) much white then Bas could improve very well on markings. He has nice tan and wonderful pigmentation.

Even more important is his background on health: His father, Bandit, died in his 11-th year of live. His mother, Dona, in her 13-th year of live!!!
